SteerGuard Pro adds a visible, physical barrier to your vehicle’s steering wheel, creating an extra layer of protection against unauthorised use and vehicle theft.
While many cars include a factory-fitted steering lock, some vehicles do not, and built-in systems may sometimes be bypassed. This steering wheel lock uses a three-direction securing design, gripping the wheel on the left, right, and above the airbag. Removing all three sections would take a thief more than 45 minutes, helping make the vehicle considerably harder to drive away.
In the UK, approximately 3,000 cars are reported stolen every day. Police recommend locking the steering wheel as an anti-theft precaution, and this lock provides a straightforward second line of defence alongside your vehicle’s existing security system.
Features
- Quick installation: Every required component is supplied, and the lock can be fitted in four simple steps.
- Strong steel-alloy beam: Constructed from a high-quality steel alloy described as twice as durable as standard 304 steel, it remains functional after exposure to 16 tonnes of hydraulic shear.
- Adjustable fit: The lock apron angle can be changed to match the shape and position of your steering wheel, making it suitable for the majority of steering wheels.
- Three-point security: Coverage on both sides of the wheel and above the airbag makes the steering wheel difficult for thieves to operate.
- Horn-alert apron: If the airbag apron is severed, it strikes the car horn to alert people nearby.
- Wheel protection: Anti-wear cushions help prevent the lock from damaging or marking the steering wheel.
- Compact storage: Fold the lock after use and store it conveniently beneath a vehicle seat.
