The Viper X spinning reel combines a lightweight graphite frame and rotor with high-speed retrieval, smooth drag performance, and added protection against water and dirt. It is available in sizes 500 through 5000 for a range of freshwater fishing applications.
Key features
- Lightweight graphite construction: High-quality graphite and updated moulding technology reduce weight while maintaining the strength of the frame and rotor.
- Two retrieve speeds: A 6.2:1 gear ratio provides a fast retrieve for handling powerful, quick-running fish. The 500, 1000, and 5000 sizes use a smoother 5.2:1 ratio for controlled, finesse-oriented presentations.
- Smooth, consistent operation: Ten-plus-one double-shielded stainless steel bearings support fluid rotation. A reinforced stainless steel main shaft, zinc alloy drive gear, and carbon washers work together for dependable drag and retrieve performance.
- Water- and dirt-resistant design: The one-way clutch bushing, one-way clutch plate, stainless steel washer, and shielded stainless steel bearing help limit water and dirt entry into the reel housing.
- Practical components: Details include a high-density EVA handle knob, CNC-machined braid-ready spool, and plated hardware.
