What is UVB therapy?
UVB phototherapy is a clinically validated approach used to help reduce skin inflammation. Doctors commonly prescribe it for conditions including psoriasis, vitiligo, eczema, and acne. It may be considered for psoriasis that has not responded to other treatments or affects larger areas of skin.
A home UVB device can support treatment without requiring frequent visits to a clinic. Sessions are typically carried out three times per week, beginning with short exposure periods and increasing gradually according to the skin’s response. A typical course may take approximately two to three months to achieve clearance. UVB light therapy is used to help reduce skin irritation and improve the appearance of affected skin.
